Rice water for hair growth

Have you ever heard of a Chinese village called Huangluo? Popularly known as the "village of Rumpunzels" or "long hair village". The average hair length in the village is 6 feet! Well, they were asked about their secret and they all had a common one, RICE WATER!!!

Rice water has lots of benefits on the hair.....
* It strengthens the hair
* Takes frizzled ends
* Increases hair growth magically (note the excitement)
* Makes hair silky and shiny
* Adds to the volume of the hair
* Cures dandruff
And much more!

Making Rice Water: Plain & Fermented
To enjoy these wonderful hair benefits of rice water, all you have to do is just collect the water that you use to rinse your rice.
To make rice water, you will need:
* 1/2 cup uncooked rice (brown, white long grain, white short grain, jasmine, or whatever you have)
* 2 to 3 cups water
* Or just extract the water anytime you cook rice
Instructions:
To make rice water, first rinse the rice with about a cup of water to remove any dirt or impurities.
Then, place the rice in a bowl and cover with water. Let the rice soak for 15 to 30 minutes. Swirl it around or lightly knead it until the water turns cloudy. This will help the vitamins and minerals seep into the water, creating a nourishing rinse for your hair and skin.
Now strain out the rice water into a clean bowl. Your rice water is ready to use.
You can either use this water for your hair, or let it ferment for enhanced benefit.
Fermented Rice Water: Once you have collected your rice water, leave it at room temperature for a day or until it turns slightly sour, implying that it has started to ferment. It can take any where from 24 to 48 hours, depending on how warm it is. So warmer the room temperature faster the fermentation process.
To decrease the fermentation time, leave the rice sitting in the water and strain once it has fermented. (Leave it covered for 12 to 24 hours.)
And that's it! You have your rice water!

How to use rice water for your hair

Rice water – plain or fermented – is an excellent conditioner. It repairs and strengthens damaged hair shaft while providing elasticity and smoothness.
For extra nourishment, add a few drops of essential oils such as olive oil, coconut oil etc.
After shampooing, pour the rice water on your hair. Gently massage your scalp and hair and leave it on for 4 to 5 minutes (or up to 20 minutes if you have time). Then rinse your hair thoroughly with plain water. Use it once a week as a last rinse.
For further benefits, after rinsing, you can use the inversion method!

Inversion method for hair growth

This method is weird but works! All you need is an oil (coconut oil preferably). As I mentioned in my Previous blog  about hair,  the normal pace for an average hair to grow is half an inch a month, but this method helps you grow 0.5-1inch in a week! (That's if you repeat the procedure for seven days). That's so cool right? Method : 1. Take an oil of your preference.(I prefer to use equal quantity of olive oil and coconut oil). 2. Warm it up slightly. Make sure the temperature is just slightly warm. 3. Massage this oil on your scalp with the help of your fingers, gently running it into the roots and hair for 5 mins. 4. Once you are done with the scalp massage, tip your hair upside down gently and let it hang loosely, maintain a steady angle of inversion. 5. The inversion can be done by sitting on a chair or on a couch, or lying down in bed. Maintain any of this position for only  4-5 minutes . 6. After that let the oil sit on the hair for 2 hours or braid your hair fo
